THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

Elephants have been used for, in alphabetical order ; billiard balls, bracelets, circus, executioners (crush criminals), furniture (I'm kidding you not), movies, pet anyone?, piano keys, shoes, transport, warfare, work and last but not least as a zoo animal. I'm probably forgetting a couple, but it seems that our relationship with one of the most intelligent animals on earth, one who is able to show grief, humor, compassion, cooperation, self-awareness, tool-use, playfulness and excellent learning abilities, is to say the least, bad.
